Why Gelish?

Which Nailz gel polish colours sell best?

Nailz gel polish comes in more than 190 shades, with new seasonal collections for spring, summer, autumn and winter, the Gel-Lo range and magnetic cat-eye shades. Nailz rubber base, builder gel and top coats

Nailz Rubber Base Gel is a flexible soak-off UV/LED base that reinforces weak or brittle natural nails and smooths ridges. It comes in Clear and soft tints such as Dewy Rose, Coconut Whip, Cloud Nine and Sugar Plum Fairy. Nailz UV Builder Gel is a medium-viscosity, self-levelling gel for strong extensions and natural-looking overlays, in shades like Blush Pink, Cover Pink, True Pink, Snow White, Nude and Clear.

For sculpting, Entity Studio Contouring Gel gives control and a smooth finish.

Entity Clean: a breathable, 24-free nail lacquer

Entity Clean is a breathable nail lacquer with an ultra-clean formula. According to Entity, it is 24-free, biotin enriched, non-GMO, vegan, PETA approved, halal certified and fast drying, with up to 7 days of wear. It is a great option for clients who ask for a cleaner polish, and an easy retail add-on.

What nail accessories does Lime Light stock?

Accessories are where a nail business spends every week, so they need to be good and they need to be in stock. Files and buffers are our biggest-selling nail accessories, led by the Nailz Snow White 4-way buffer block, the Miracle Shiner 600/3000 and the black 100/180 files.

Which file grit should I use?

Prep, removal and tips

Good prep and gentle removal protect the natural nail. Stock IPA to cleanse, lint-free wipes, pure acetone or Nailz Easy Soak (made to break down gel polish, builder gel and acrylic), and NailGuard to protect the nail. For extensions there are Nailz natural, French and full cover tips, plus Gelish Soft Gel tips.

How do I do a gel polish service?

1. Shape and prep: push back the cuticles, shape with a 100/180 file and lightly buff the shine off the nail.
2. Cleanse: wipe with IPA on a lint-free wipe to remove dust and oils.
3. Base: apply a thin rubber base or base gel and cure.
4. Colour: apply two thin coats of gel polish, curing after each coat.
5. Top: seal with a top coat and cure. Wipe if your top coat needs it.
6. Nourish: finish with cuticle oil, and sell the client a bottle to take home.

How do I remove gel polish safely?

1. Lightly file the shine off the top coat.
2. Soak a cotton pad or wipe in acetone, Nailz Easy Soak or Gelish Soak Off Remover, place it on the nail and wrap in foil.
3. Wait about 10 to 15 minutes, then gently push off the softened gel with an orange stick.
4. Buff smooth and finish with cuticle oil.

How do I remove gel polish without damaging the nail?

File off the shine, wrap the nail with acetone or Easy Soak and foil for about 10 to 15 minutes, then gently push off the gel and finish with cuticle oil. Never pick or peel gel off.
