What is Gelish Color Plus?
Gelish Color Plus is the next evolution of Gelish, the original soak-off gel polish. Gelish describes it as "Clean vibrant color. Zero compromise." It arrives with 240 all-new shades, a new clean formula, new packaging and a new brush, all designed to make application smoother and easier than ever, with bold, long-lasting colour. Every bottle holds 15ml.

How do I apply and remove Gelish Color Plus?
Color Plus works as part of the Gelish system. Gelish recommends thin layers, because thin coats cure evenly and give the smoothest finish:
- Prep and base: prep the natural nail, apply a thin, even layer of Gelish Foundation or Quick Release Base Gel and cure.
- Colour: apply a thin layer of your Color Plus shade, cap the free edge and cure.
- Colour again: repeat for full, rich coverage and cure.
- Top coat: seal with the Gelish Color Plus No Cleanse Top Coat and cure. No wipe is needed.
- Finish: massage in Gelish Nourish Cuticle Oil.
💡 Pro tip: give it a full cure
Color Plus is highly pigmented, so it needs a complete cure. If you are not using the Gelish 18G LED Light, Gelish recommends a 60-second cure for each layer. If you see any wrinkling, that layer is not fully cured: pop it back under the lamp for another 60 seconds.
To remove: lightly file the surface, saturate a remover wrap with Gelish Artificial Nail Remover, wrap the nail and soak for 10 to 15 minutes, then gently remove the remaining gel with an orangewood stick.

Where did the Gelish Roadshow go?
To launch Color Plus, the Gelish Roadshow travelled across 3 provinces in October 2026, bringing education, live demos and the new colours to nail technicians and salon owners in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. We were honoured to host Vu, international Gelish educator, and Jake, one of the founders of Gelish, all the way from Gelish California. Vu led live demos and education, showing nail professionals exactly how Color Plus glides on.
- Cape Town: a 3-day roadshow, closing with an exclusive business owner event for our salon owners.
- Durban: the KZN roadshow stops brought the same high-energy magic to the coast.
- Johannesburg: a full week of education and all things Gelish in Jozi.
What was the launch like?
